Ill in Exeter...

current mood: annoyed

You would think that not being able to hear properly (due to fluid building behind ear drum... cold related and PAINFUL!) would deter me from watching Takarazuka.

YOU WOULD THINK THAT WOULDN'T YOU???

But I am at the mother in law because The Vulcan had to come here help with clearing a garage and I rather be where he can drive me to a doctor if my ear drums decide to burst again ;_;.

So I sit here in misery and watch PHANTOM when the Vulcan... reluctantly... makes the effort of watching it for 5 minutes (he actually approves of the hobby but he hates musicals with passion and Takarazuka is often too FABULOUS even for musical lovers ... so he finds it painful ^^;;).

The part he watched involves Erik taking Christine to a picnic in the artificial forest in the catacombs.

Vulcan: He reads her BLAKE on their date? No wonder she ran off. What must she be thinking?
Lamasu: *slightly offended Blake fan* She SHOULD be thinking he is the right type of Goth.
Vulcan: The RIGHT type of Goth? I dread to think what the wrong type of Goth is.
Lamasu: The WRONG type of Goth reads Baudelaire.
Vulcan: Let me guess. There is also a regular, not quite right but ACCEPTABLE type of Goth too.
Lamasu: Yes.
Vulcan: *raise eyebrow*
Lamasu: They read Poe. They are allowed to quote from the RAVEN until they turn 21 - after that - they might as well move to Baudelaire and accept the state of utter FAIL.
Vulcan: I didn't understand any of that - but you are ill - so I forgive you.

Apart from this. There has been complication regarding the impending trip to Vienna. The Vulcan decided to leave Sivan stranded in London for a day so he can save £200 on flight ticket. I freaked out so much I broke my mobile phone (LAME) and promptly bought a doll for £500 to express what I think about money saving that compromises hospitality. (Ok... so I didn't buy it YET because it is a Korean National Holiday but Luts are producing the SDF Abadon in white skin again and... it is MINE as a revenge for pissing me off when I am ill and only making me tea ONCE ... and also dragging me to Exeter when my ears are bursting!)

He changed the flight now so we ARE coming back in time and Sivan only has to wait for few hours in the airport... still crap but ... acceptable.

This of course changed the plans from Vienna and Budapest to Vienna and PRAGUE... which I don't mind because I really really REALLY love Prague!

This time around I am determined to visit Kafka's grave AND I swear I will find the Golem... I WILL!!! :D:D:D

Also Vienna - That portrait of Elisabeth better be there for me to pose next to it ^_^.

Early days yet - first I have to shake this unshakable cold... and hope the Vulcan doesn't change the plan AGAIN!

Back to half hearing the PHANTOM...

Old Internet Acquaintance: "All you ever talk about is YAOI".
Lamasu: "I know... all those Takarazuka ladies taking each other up the arse with their massive cocks!"
OIA: "You see? You haven't changed!"
Lamasu: "... you have a point actually. ^^;;"
OIA: "What is Takarazuka!"
Lamasu: *gives up*.

I had a similar conversation 4 times in the last week...

People will always remember you for one thing and it would ALWAYS be the one thing they disapprove of...

Also - this just proves to me how truly interlinked are Takarazuka and Yaoi.

HUZZAH! :D:D:D

A Day that Starts with a Rotten Egg can only End with Hair-Agst!

current mood: distressed

I should have known yesterday would turn out foul the moment I cracked that egg to make scrambled egg on muffin. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen or smelled and it actually made me throw up violently. It also put me off eggs - my muffin related escapades lay in RUINS before my eyes. I had to opt for the cross pollination of Mediterranean Roasted Halumi on English muffins... it proved successful with the children (who were home nursing colds and sport injuries - HUZZAH!).

Later in the evening Gabriel insisted I would trim his long lush hair, apparently his current teacher nags him about it and makes him tie it up during PE. Sadly I blundered it, leaving the Vulcan Mathematician to sort out the mess (He refused cutting Gabriel hair giving him a long lecture about succumbing to conformity and loosing his individuality) the whole incident resulted in me crying my eyes out in ENORMOUS guilt - the burden of which I am still feeling right now, the Vulcan spewing sermons about the evils of the establishments and the way they make us compromise our own principles, and Gabriel in the middle of this being really sad and depressed... it took all my strength not to kick my own head in, not to kick the Vulcan to the moon (he did salvaged my mess with a really lovely hair cut... albeit short) and not to burn everything within 10 miles radius by NUKING IT FROM ORBIT!

So fuck yesterday - it was AWFUL.

But today the children are back in school. They are healthy. Everyone in Gabriel's calss thought his hair in nifty which put him at ease... one of the girls came up to him to say she knew he had beautiful eyes so it is nice to see them... which made him go so RED it was utterly adorable. I also had a chat with his last year teacher who is a lady after my own heart being snarky and a real book worm... so I felt a bit more human once I returned home... the guilt will not go away though...

SO I WILL DROWN IT!!!

WITH TAKARAZUKA!!!

WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D

When I purchased a legit and totally not YAAAAR copy of The Scarlet Pimpernel - featuring the most delicious Aran Kei as Sir Percy and the utterly MOUTH WATERING Yuzuki Reon as Chauvelin (Review with excessive screen-caps coming to this neighbourhood soon!) I also purchased a copy of VALENCIA PASSION/ SPACE FANTASISTA by the ever bouncy and OH-SO-TALL Cosmos Troupe!

Purely because I suddenly and without notice found myself totally enamoured with this troupe. It is odd... I think I just like the Soragumi energy. I think the requirement for a Soragumi Otokoyaku these days is :

1) Be able to change a light-bulb without standing on a chair.
2) Taken off Ritalin for the duration of a show run.

I haven't watched the show yet, I just skimmed through and already I am having a million WTF moments (this is a good thing - crack makes my world go round and Soragumi seem to be saturated with it quite often!) one of the main WTF question that is really keeping me awake at night... REALLY! is: Why did they paint Ranju Tomu ORANGE! srsly... did they think it will somehow reduce her AWESOME??? BECAUSE IT DOESN'T WORK! She is just awesome AND orange... that is all...

OK... I am off to watch the show now... and later ship some Taka goodness all the way from Glastonbury to Transylvania - which is awesome in itself ^_^.

Have a day lacking in rotten eggs and hair angst and instead filled with SPARKLE! :D:D:D

Still battling the illness in this house. But in between crazy bouts of fever - we decided to mess around with playmobil... any excuse. It is a working progress... you wouldn't believe the amount of this stuff that is lying around ^^;;

Anyhoo - Ikea doll house has turned into bizaaro-Central... naturally...

What we have here is the maintenance and security in the basement. Ground floor is used for the grocery store and high tech securi-geek center (that one is Gabriel's design), first floor see the hairdressers hospital, the plastic surgeons (quite literally HAR-HAR! >_<;;) are all sleeping at the moment... mostly they serve the con artist mafia next door... I will get to that in a minute. The roof is the domain of lost children and pirate island...

And ... ah... close up on the Mafia area... It is run by a deranged clown, and includes a geek, a dog and the obligatory gay Mafioso ... ummm.... I kinda... had a hand in designing that one... if.... if you didn't guess already ^^;;.

And if you think I am the bad one... what you are not seeing in this picture, because Raphael has his back to the camera... is that he is stuffing the playmobil washing machine with playmobil money...

I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP!

Y... you think, maybe I should... like... be worried or something? XD.

Doctor prescribed us Tamiflu and nailed an "UNCLEAN" sign to our door. The fact I am NOT going to take it and even more so the fact that I can actually sit here and on Facebook and moan about it just goes to show what I think about his diagnosis and which orifice it should promply go back into ... forcefully if need be ¬_¬.

Still... blech and eek I suppose... you can enjoy the absence of Takarazuka spammage... unless you are on facebook in which case you will get MORE of it because I am kinda using THAT as medicine instead of Tamiflu XD.

Obligatory "I am Still Here!" post...

busy

current mood: busy

Been to London for few days picking up my mum from the air port and then running around the big smoke, occasionally musing about how it is all very smelly and noisy but mostly looking at arts with said mum and the very awesome and nifty Kara and the very nifty and awesome Vince.

My first visit to the National Portrait Gallery left me wondering why I never visited it before since I love portrait paintings so much even when they depict people who did nothing but have enough money to pay artists to capture them wearing their best outfits. Seeing all my favourite poets and authors and PERVERTS (I am looking at you Byron and especially YOU Swinburne!!!) hanging on the wall is even better... although according to the aforementioned Kara and Vince running after me and trying to calm me down as I rush down the hall screaming " I LOVE YOU MONKEY-FUCKER!" (I am looking at you AGAIN Swinburne!!!) is not a very pleasant experience... sorry guys - I go hyper in museums ;_;.

My mum and I also descended on the Royal Academy of Art where an absolutely STUNNING exhibition of J.W. Waterhouse. Pre-Raphaelite-gasm followed accompanied by some lewd comments to the tune of the one I emitted in the National Portrait Gallery only these won less admonishing looks because they were uttered in Hebrew... useful language is useful! XD.

The catalogue of the exhibition was a disgrace - so much so I didn't even want it as a memento ... instead we invaded the local Waterstone's and cleared it shelves of anything Scarlet Pimpernel and Three Musketeers related (my copies are either in Hebrew or in a tatty condition due to suffering some frequent and rough love from yours truly ... The Lamasu is NOT kind to the books she loves... spine bending ahoy, more like ... therefore if not in hard-back, they need to be replaced occasionally ^^;;).

Anyway - we are back home now. It took the Vulcan Mathematician TWO DAYS to fix my lap-top AGAIN because it broke AGAIN and Vista AGAIN decided it knows better and AGAIN wouldn't relinquish administrator rights to ...errr... the ADMINISTRATOR!

I would like to stop HACKING my own system file now KTHXBAI!!! ¬_¬.

I will have very little time to update in the next few days as me and my mum spend loads of time talking, laughing and watching Takarazuka :D:D:D

BECAUSE THERE IS ALWAYS TIME FOR TAKARAZUKA!!! ^_^

You can steal my Jewels any day...

July 31st, 2009 (10:45 am)
blank

current mood: blank

My life is pleasantly inane if on the overcast side of thing but even that only regarding the weather. Oh British Summer - How stereotypical are you! I am not complaining about the lack of heat - mild weather agrees very much with my physical constitution (which wilts over 25 Celsius) and with my insatiable appetite for men's three piece suits (or the variant - Victorian men's attire sans top hat...) I don't much mind the rain since I have long ago discovered the marvellous invention known as... errrr... UMBRELLA!

It is the lack of sunlight - having not a shred nor drop of a vampire in me I fail to angst in dreary gloom - I just get angry and curse at furniture in juicy Yiddish, Spicy Arabic and plain crass Hebrew... I also anticipate with no small level of trepidation - the winter and its massive burden of SAD ... sunless summers means this will fall on me earlier and harsher... BAH! I am bringing the FSL lamp downstairs before autumn is in - I can see it already ¬_¬.

But this is just a minor irk and I am grateful that it is the only one. In terms of dull disasters - my washing machine packed up for good. We are awaiting the delivery of a new one today and really survived without one for less than a week... the problem is that those few days are enough to create an impressive mountain of dirty laundry ... serving as a kind of Everest for arachnids and insects in the conservatory...srsly - I spy an expedition to the top lead by creatures with far too many legs for comfort ;_;.

I feel the hours in between contemplating the weather and bemoaning the lack of clean shirts with an Arsene Lupin reading Marathon... in the words of a partner of a friend (I wish these were my words but sadly they are not) "one must admire a jewel thief whose method of disguise is... A TOP HAT!" He was actually refering to Noir from Gorgeous Charat but the sentiment is the same here:

Inspector Ganimard: "I finally caught you Arsene Lupin!"
Arsene Lupin: *put on top hat* "Hahah! Now you see me - now you don't!"
Inspector Ganimard; "Oh Noes! Where did he go? All I can see before me is a gentlemen with a top hat!"
Arsene Lupin: "Perfect Disguise is PERFECT!"

:D:D:D

Arsene Lupin rules my world. The only issue I have is that I got a copy of the Penguin Classic collection of stories because e-books are great but actual ink on paper is still ORGASM! Or it would be if the cover was not UGLY BEYOND WORDS! Where is the seducer of ladies? The man who could charm a necklace of rubies and pearls of the heaving bosoms of a flustered duchess? The man who could rob a palace whilst shagging the butler in the pantry? (Oh... yeah... that last one is my contribution to the A/L universe... I mean ... this is why there is an ARSE in Arsene Lupin... isn't it? ... ^^;;).

I am quite determined to write to the publisher in a huff and demand they put Yamato Yuga on the cover... sure she isn't one of my favourites of Takarasiennes but she makes for a BISHI Lupin and that is ALL THAT MATTERS!

YOU CAN STEAL MY JEWELS ANY TIME TANI SAMAAAAAAA!

And with this shameless and less than refine squee I return to waiting for a washing machine, making presents for deserving individuals and reading more A/L courtesy of one of those deserving individuals (thank you again [info]alice_montrose your angst is gaining in sparkle by the day...:D:D:D).

Time for tea methink!

*Pounces [info]alice_montrose and smishes her with molestifications of lurv* ^_^.

When you told me I am getting Soragumi Elizabeth and Datenshi no Namida you kinda forgot to mention the Shinjin Kouen of 2002 Hanagumi and 1996 Yukigumi (trying to wrap her head around Ranju Tomu (she who is Phoenix Wright) as Der Tott XD)... Oh and MAKI ICHIRO In CONCERT !!! and... and ... OH MAH GODDESS!!! THE SENSHUURAKU OF TSUKIGUMI 2005!!! (Heeeeeeee! Kyrian hair is long and fluffy *molesticates it* ^_^).

I only plonked all the DVDs to see if they work (the DIVA only work on my PC but that is fine since that is where I watch EVERYTHING anyway :D:D:D).

My only qualm with this event of pure joy is that I have zero to minus time today to watch it - It is sitting there taunting me with its promise of shiny and SMEXEH as I zoom from place to place doing the house-wifey and Mother-y thing.

But SQUUUUEEEEEEEE!!!

I am a happy fangirl *snuggles* ^_^.

Oh and incidentally - I just switched on the spell-checker for this entry and it couldn't recognize half the words... WOT??? Are you trying to tell me MOLESTIFICATIONS is not a real word?

IT IS NOW!!! :D:D:D

current mood: stressed

It is Raphael's turn to do the purging this time. He has been sick since 2 in the morning. Haven't had much sleep. I don't really know how to cope with throwing up. This is HORRID! ;_;

Poor little harling. He seem to be coping with this a lot better than me. Gabriel doesn't mind since he gets a day off. I can't take Raphael out since he throws-up all the time... hopefully this will ease up by the evening.

Until it does it is drink little and often policy.

BLECH! :(

In more pleasant terms - MercuryChaos over at InsaneJournal posted the following link in her journal and I am indebted to her for a new obsession - oh yes! A girl can never have enough of those! :D:D:D

Radu Marian is a sopranista - which I heard of before but never really gone far into investigating. This means he has an endocrinological condition which in his youth stopped his vocal chords from developing. As a result he can sing the most beautiful soprano (Not Falsetto - this is his natural singing voice and it is GORGEOUS!) allowing him to sing cantatas written for castrati... basically - BAROQUE HEAVEN!!!

Male Soprano FTW

I am a baroque whore - I could always play baroque one or two grades higher than my actual grade because it feels like I am breathing it. Not sure why ... I can't really think of life behind it.

And this is what I will be listening to in between moping the floors of puke, sparying all the furniture with fabric freshener and doing a load after load in a broken washing machine that doesn't spin anymore .

Or at least I WOULD if any of the Amazon sites actually SOLD any Radu Marian CDs ¬_¬.

*sobs*
